While disappearing messages are turned on in a specific chat, users cannot star those messages, but the messages could only be kept. Currently, WhatsApp has a feature known as disappearing messages, allowing people to send messages to each other that will disappear after 90 days, 7 days, or 24 hours. How to enable disappearing messages

First of all, open WhatsApp chat and tap on the contact’s name you wish to enable disappearing messages forOnce done, click on disappearing messages and when prompted, tap continue
