He wrote that some new features will be added for group calls on WhatsApp where users can mute or message a specific person on a call. The feature would be of great use for the ones who forget to mute themselves during a call. Cathcart also said that another helpful indicator has been added to let people know when more people join large calls. Once WhatsApp users will update their app, they will see an indicator placed at the bottom of the group call. This will inform all other participants when someone new is added to the group call.
