New iPhone may be launched without a SIM card slot
If we believe rumours, then the first ever iPhone without a SIM card could be launched next year. Apple is reportedly planning to launch its iPhone 15 series without a SIM card tray. Back in 2018, when iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR was launched, Apple introduced support for e SIM technology for the first time. iPhone model launched in 2018 or after came with support of one eSIM and one physical SIM.

An eSIM is the subscriber identification/identity module that is embedded in smart communication devices such as smartwatches, smartphones, and much more. Uses don’t need a physical SIM card for their device and can easily access the post-paid/ prepaid subscription services with the eSIM.
