For now, the update is in its testing phase and is available for the uses in the United States. Meta has begun examining the feature with creators. These are the creators who doesn’t have an assigned relationship manager. For now, the feature is only available for the users accessing Facebook through Facebook app. The feature to report issues on live chat is only available on the Facebook app for now.

Significance of the feature

The feature to offer live support for locked accounts has come up for the first time ever. When Facebook locks account of a user, the user finds it difficult to retrieve the account. They sometimes don’t even know whom to get in touch with? Till now Facebook didn’t have an option of contacting a support team and know the reason behind the suspension of their account. But the new feature will solve the issue. The feature will pop open a live ‘Facebook Support’ chatbox. This chatbox will then allow the user to have a conversation with a customer support executive. Meta in a blog post said that it has started testing the live chat help for few English-speaking users globally. Meta claimed that it will also help creators who have been locked out of their accounts and even those who doesn’t have an assigned relationship manager.   “This first test focuses on those who cannot access their accounts due to unusual activity or whose accounts have been suspended due to a violation of Community Standards”, it added.

How will the feature work?

The feature will work in case you get blocked by someone or lose access to your account. Facebook will show pop-up to allow users to chat with a customer support executive. You need to follow these steps to use the feature:
