One of the main reasons behind the delay in this launch date is that the Samsung Galaxy S5 is scheduled to be launched on February 24, the same day of Mobile World Congress, according to iDigitalTimes. HTC does not want to compete with the Samsung smartphone, and hence pushed the date further.  Meanwhile, it has also been rumored that the HTC smartphone requires some changes and modifications before it will be out in the market. It has also been speculated that HTC is likely to focus more on its mid-range and entry level devices instead of the main HTC One 2 as a result of higher profitability in mid-range devices. Additionally, some reports have also surfaced that HTC will launch more products in the $150 to $300 price range, while the HTC One 2 “M8” and other flagship devices have the price range of $600 and above. According to a leaked picture on a web site HK-Android.info, the HTC One 2 is rumored to be equipped with a dual LED flash and an improved ultrapixel camera at the back along with a 5 megapixel front facing camera. Meanwhile, other expected specifications of the smartphone are a larger 5-inch Full HD 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 chipset and 2GB of RAM, according to iDigitalTimes.
