The latest feature has been worked on to facilitate a smooth process for entry while ensuring a move to yet another digital tool. Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Civil Aviation Minister in India says that DigiYatra is a move to assist in ensuring paperless entry into the airports using latest facial recognition tech. Here are some more details.

DigiYatra at your disposal

DigiYatra is set to dismiss the requirement for a boarding pass in the physical form. This can save ample time since you get to easily pass through the entry and the pre-security checks at an airport. The quicker entry inside airports will naturally be a boon nonetheless. Moreover, the security factor will get enhanced too. This facility is currently available only at IGI airport  Delhi, the Kempegowda International Airport, Bangalore, and the Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, Varanasi.  Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, and Vijayawada will get the facility by next year. Earlier Hyderabad airport had had a taste of this feature for three months.DigiYatra works for domestic flights only, and for flights from Air India, Vistara, as well as IndiGo.

To use this service, simply download DigiYatra app to register vi linking of the Aadhaar card. Upload a selfie that is clear. Once these steps are covered, you will need to upload your boarding pass. The app had versions for Android as well as iOS.
