According to Alessandro Paluzzi, a popular tipster, the new feature is currently in the testing phase. He has shared screenshots that throw light on how Instagram plans to pay money for Reels.

The new feature will initially target content creators with good upload volume or audience engagement metrics. Instagram chief Adam Mosseri said the new features aims to provide users control over their experiences on the app. Instagram is also working on the option to provide users globally to hide theirs like counts on posts. Instagram is also planning on showcasing new metrics including Plays, Accounts Reached, Likes, Comments, Saves, and Shares. For Live Reels, creators will be able to access data related accounts reached, peak concurrent viewers, comments, and shares. The company also plans to make these metrics visible in the Account Insights to offer a broader picture of how Reels and Live shape an account’s performance. This will enable the creators to understand which content formats are the most liked and effective at driving reach.
