When Will Asus Launch ROG Phone 3?
Finally, after a long wait and many rumours, the company has officially confirmed that it will be launching the ROG Phone 3 on July 22. The launch event is scheduled to commence at 16:00 BST (8:30 pm IST) on Wednesday. However, there are is no official word on the gaming phone’s price yet. The Asus ROG Phone 2 was priced at $899. The smartphone is rumoured to sport similar design to its two predecessors. Moreover, it is also expected to keep the pricing competitive to its rival smartphones like the Black Shark 3.
What specs and features to expect from the new Asus ROG Phone 3?
Many notable tipsters like Evan Blass have also shared the alleged ROG Phone 3 images in their posts. Leaks suggest that the upcoming gaming phone is likely to continue with its popular angular cuts around the camera. Moreover, it is likely to have a glass rear and will offer a comfortable grip to play games. Furthermore, the new Asus phone will have 171 x 78 x 9.85mm dimensions and may weigh around 240g. Additionally, tipsters have claimed that it will feature a 6.59-inch, 144 Hz AMOLED display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution. The company has confirmed that the ROG phone 3 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus processor. Bryan Chang, General Manager of Smartphone Business Unit at ASUS was quoted in a Qualcomm release saying, “ASUS is excited to once again offer users the best possible mobile gaming experience with the next generation ROG Phone 3, which will be powered by the new Snapdragon 865 Plus Mobile Platform.” But, besides the chipset, there are not many specs confirmed of the gaming phone yet. But, it is widely speculated that the phone will sport a 6000mAh battery and may offer up to 16GB RAM. The widely reported TENAA listings allegedly of the Asus ROG Phone 3 says suggests it may offer storage configuration variations of 8GB, 12GB and 16GB RAM and 128GB, 256GB and 512GB internal memory. The ROG Phone 3 is further expected to feature a 64-megapixel primary camera and 13-megapixel secondary camera. Additionally, in a good news for the expectant buyers, Asus Phone 3 may also include pre-installed Google Stadia free for first 3 months.
